MISSION

IS THIS A PIZZA COMPANY?

No! Personal Pizza Party (3P) is an NYC-based production company that provides its artists with the ingredients they need to create the projects they’re hungry for, whether it’s theatre, music, comedy, films, audio dramas, or more. Our work is socially-conscious and gives a platform to a diverse array of untold stories with the core goal of fostering community between early-career creatives in search of an artistic home. We believe good art (pizza?) is made better through collaborations (parties?) where like-minded creatives cook up their personal (!!!) dream projects. Our work is honest, irreverent, and – above all – fun. Like, duh. We’re not called Personal Pizza Party because we hate fun.

WHOSE IDEA WAS THIS?

3P was founded in January 2023 by Christian Caro, Lee Melillo, and Ethan Peña Mock, three frequent collaborators who met as theatre students at Fordham University. Their extensive list of shared credits began with a production of The Wolves in 2019, and continued in-and-out of Fordham for the remainder of their undergraduate years. The trio realized they had a pretty great thing going on, and wondered how to keep their party going post-grad. Dozens of legal documents and WikiHow pages later, they suddenly all had shiny new debit cards that said “Personal Pizza Party” on them. Soon after, Alexandra Haddad joined the leadership team following a collaboration with Melillo and Mock on a new play. Through the combined creativity and unique artistic flavors of these four creatives, the groundwork was laid for 3P to become the vibrant, ever-expanding (ever…rising? Dough puns, anyone?) community that it is today, with the help of a brilliant network of collaborators forged during their inaugural season.

EQUITY, DIVERSITY, & INCLUSION

3P is led by artists who consider intersectionality baked into everything we do.

From our founding, the leadership team articulated a mutual desire to provide a platform, resources, and community for our artists to feel comfortable expressing themselves – particularly in areas where they are marginalized or otherwise underrepresented. We commit to cultivating equitable spaces with diverse teams who are supported in all senses of the word, and commit to listening to our community and taking accountability whenever we may fall short of that principle.

To help keep our community accessible, we aim for all projects to include open auditions/applications, and be made up of at least 50% first-time collaborators wherever feasible.
